“Demon Keeper” is an American horror film directed by Joe Tornatore and released in 1994. It stars Dirk Benedict as Remy Grilland, a con artist who pretends to be a medium and scams wealthy old ladies. Edward Albert plays Alex, an expert of the occult who attends one of Remy’s seances. Mike Lane plays the Beast, a vicious and evil demon who is summoned by Remy. The film is a supernatural thriller that follows the consequences of Remy’s foolish act of summoning a real spirit. The Beast escapes from Remy’s control and starts to possess and kill his victims, using their fears and weaknesses against them. The Beast also targets Remy’s girlfriend, Diane, played by Adrienne Pierce, and his assistant, Frank, played by Andre Jacobs. The film shows how Remy and Alex team up to stop the Beast and save their lives. They discover that the Beast is an ancient entity that was once worshipped as a god by a cult. They also learn that the only way to destroy the Beast is to use a sacred dagger that was stolen by Remy from one of his clients. They have to face the Beast’s wrath and cunning, as well as the police who suspect them of murder. The film ends with a twist, where Remy manages to stab the Beast with the dagger, but is fatally wounded in the process. He dies in Diane’s arms, while Alex watches over them. The film closes with a shot of the dagger, which starts to glow and move, implying that the Beast is still alive.
