“Odol Gorri” is a French short film directed by Charlène Favier and starring Noée Abita, Olivier Loustau, and Jisca Kalvanda. It is a drama about a rebellious teenage girl who finds herself in a dangerous situation on a fishing boat. The title means “red blood” in Basque. The film follows Éva, a 15-year-old girl who runs away from an open-air workshop organized by her juvenile education center. She is angry and frustrated by her life and her family problems. She hides under a tarpaulin in a fishing boat at the village port, hoping to escape from her troubles. However, she soon realizes that she is not alone on the boat. There are four men on board, who are part of the crew. They are Arnaud, the captain, his brother Manu, and two African immigrants, Moussa and Yaya. They are surprised and annoyed by Éva’s presence, but they decide to let her stay until they reach their destination. The film depicts the tense and uneasy relationship between Éva and the men, who have different backgrounds, cultures, and personalities. Éva tries to assert herself and to resist their authority, but she also feels attracted to Arnaud, who shows some interest in her. However, things take a dark turn when Arnaud reveals his true intentions and tries to rape Éva. She fights back and manages to escape, but not without consequences.
